Element VS Webex App

Element and Webex App are both popular communication and collaboration tools with high G2 scores of 4.3/5 and 4.2/5 respectively. Element is a global platform with an entry-level price of $5/month/user and offers a free version with add-ons, roles management, contact management, chat, file sharing, mentions, polls, groups/channels, gifs and emojis, and threads. On the other hand, Webex App is targeted towards large organizations with an entry-level price of $12/user/month, but also offers a free version with similar features to Element, except for voice messages and polls.

While Element allows for graphic personalization and custom domain names, it lacks some key features such as 1-1 video calls, group video calls, whiteboarding, screen sharing, audio calls, breakout rooms, recording, and participant permissions. Webex App, on the other hand, offers these features along with online document editing, document management, a global search, and a newsfeed. Additionally, Webex App provides training webinars, a dedicated CSM for enterprise plans, and a calendar for Cisco meetings only. Overall, Element seems to be a more affordable and customizable option, while Webex App offers more comprehensive features for larger organizations.
